Six Flags Over Texas is under new management, so we can expect a ton of changes coming to the amusement park.  "Out with the old, in with the new," they say.

Yesterday, Six Flags announced they would be closing two rides in order to make way for a new "record-breaking dive roller coaster" that will open in 2026!

According to WFAA, La Vibora, the bobsled-style coaster which opened in 1986 and El Diablo, a giga loop coaster, which opened in 2019, will both be shut down to make way for the new ride.

Six Flags Over Texas president Richard Douaihy said in a release, "The rides' retirement enables the park to make way for a new generation of thrill machines in the Spain section of the park.

"To usher in this new beginning, a jaw-dropping, record-breaking dive coaster is set to debut in 2026."

Douaihy added that more details about the new coaster should be released by next summer.
