Over the past few years, a number of cities throughout DFW have grown to heights that once seemed impossible. Whether it’s due to business, cost of living, or even simply amount of land, these cities are booming. Now, a new report has given people another reason to come to DFW as multiple cities recently made the top 10 richest in Texas list, including the number one spot.
HomeSnacks.com recently tracked 355 cities with populations of at least 5,000 people in Texas to determine where "the richest of the rich" live. Using data from the Census Bureau, OpenStreetMaps, the FBI, and other sources, they were able to determine Southlake was the richest city in Texas for 2023. According to Dallas Culture Map, Southlake has a median income of $239,833, and an unemployment rate of just 2.2 percent.
Other DFW cities making the top 10 were Lucas at number 4, Coppell at 6, Heath at 7 and Highland Village at 8. While previous top cities such as Frisco and Highland Park were still on the list, they have dropped spots in recent years. Based on this list, it seems DFW will continue to grow.
