Not a lot of freshmen in high school can brag about already having a college degree, but 15-year-old Ethan River Luescher can do just that.
This past Friday, Luescher graduated from Tarrant County College with an associate degree in applied science, along with certificates in cybersecurity and ethical hacking, all before even finishing high school. Really, before finishing his firstyear in high school!
Luescher began taking classes at TCC when he was 12-years-old. His parents even sent a note along with him to his classes. His mom told NBC DFW, “I never thought he would be in college at 12 years old, and to graduate this young, it blows my mind, honestly.”
Along with already being a college grad, Luescher is working toward the rank of Eagle Scout and is a state champion in judo.
He’s now focusing on earning his bachelor’s before completing high school.
“That’s what I’m aiming for. I believe I can do that,” he said.
