Halloween is just days away, and if you love everything spooky season there are few better spots to be than the Lone Star State!
A new study from High 5 Casino ranked Texas as the seventh spookiest state in the nation!
Researchers analyzed four different factors: Haunted attractions, horror-themed escape rooms, ghost sightings, and average haunted house rating.
Texas ended up having 98 haunted attractions, the fourth-highest number per state; 22 horror themed escape rooms, and an average haunted house rating of 9.63/10, which actually was the highest rating in the whole country!
The top ten spookiest states include:
10 – Tennessee
9 – Kentucky
8 – Michigan
7 – Texas
6 – Pennsylvania
5 – Florida
4 – Indiana
3 - California
2 – Illinois
1 – Ohio
