You open any streaming service you'll find any number of true crime documentaries about grisly murders or some of the worst people to ever walk the Earth.

And apparently Texans can't get enough.

A new study from PrivacyJournal.net found that Texas is one of the top ten states in the nation most obsessed with true crime.

Texas ranked tenth in the study, which was based on residents' search data over several categories, including infamous serial killers, famous murder cases, unsolved mysteries and disappearances, and movies, shows, and documentaries.

The top ten states most obsessed with true crime include:

1 – District of Columbia (district, not official state)
2 – Massachusetts
3 – New York
4 – Nevada
5 – Colorado
6 – Illinois
7 – Connecticut
8 – Washington
9 – North Carolina
10 – New Hampshire
11 – Texas

The study also found the average true crime fan consumes just over 3 hours and 45 minutes of true crime per week.
