A Texas woman dubbed the "Beef Tongue Bandit" was recently nabbed outside of an H-E-B in Lytle with more than $300 worth of stolen goods in her shopping cart.
An officer noticed 36-year-old Roxanne B. Hernandez attempting to walk out of the store without paying for her groceries.
A scuffle unfolded after he tried to stop her, which was only exacerbated after her husband confronted the pair. Another officer arrived to help, and eventually the husband was calmed down and Hernandez was taken into custody.
According to News4SA, Hernandez attempted to steal $308 worth of groceries, including more than $150 worth of beef tongue, and a 12-pack of Dr Pepper Zero.
She was booked into the Atascosa County Jail on theft charges.
