Troy Aikman may be known most as a former Dallas Cowboys quarterback or as an NFL broadcaster, but this week the NFL Hall of Famer showed off a new skill; bartending. Celebrating the launch of his new beer brand, Eight, Aikman went behind the bar at Katy Trail Ice House in Dallas, serving up his new beer to fans. While most could only dream of catching a pass form Aikman at least they can say the legend tossed them a beer instead.
Earlier this week, Troy Aikman gave fans a first taste of his new beer, Eight. The beer is currently available at Katy Trail Ice House, Boomerjacks, Walk-Ons and Sidecar Social in DFW. According to Dallas Observer, six-packs of the beer are expected to be available for purchase at local stores in the next few weeks.
“We view this as a lifestyle brand. It [the beer] is real simple. We name our target consumer the 'early risers' and what we mean by that — it doesn't necessarily mean that you wake up at five in the morning, but that when you do wake up, you have a purpose, you have something that you're shooting for and that you're willing to put in the work and time to do it," said Aikman. Now Texans have a beer to drink while showing off their Dallas Cowboys’ pride.
