Consider this a new fear unlocked.
A truck was traveling along Riverway Drive in southeast Dallas when a wastewater pipeline break caused a sinkhole to appear. When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found the truck’s trailer stuck in the sinkhole.
Neighbors told WFAA they heard a loud crash, and saw that the pickup truck had fallen in. The driver was taken to Baylor Scott & White for treatment.
Dallas Water Utilities crews immediately began work to repair the pipeline, which they say should be fixed by Thursday. Barricade were placed on the road to protect other motorists from the sinkhole.
