Back in November, many in DFW were stunned when Truck Yard in Lower Greenville closed their doors without any announcement as to why.
Luckily, the popular bar and restaurant is now back open after a $2 million renovation. With these changes the bar will be more year-round weather-friendly and even features some iconic Lower Greenville sculptures.
Over the weekend, Truck Yard reopened after months of renovations, just in time for the St. Patrick's Day block party. According to Dallas Culture Map, some of the renovations include covered patios and four fire pits, a larger bar and back of house kitchen for high volume days, paved driveway for food truck ease, new bathrooms and tableside ordering technology. “We knew Dallas needed new digs and we feel this is great step into a new decade of business," said Truck Yard owner Jason Boso.
The other major renovation is the three Tango Frog sculptures that used to sit on top of an '80s nightclub called Tango's on Greenville Ave. Now, the frogs sit on top of Truck Yard after being recovered. With these changes, DFW can enjoy some food and drinks with a little bit of North Texas history.
