Scammers will stop at no end to steal money from innocent victims.

A Texas woman recently fell victim to an online romance scammer who was claiming to be country musician Morgan Wallen.

As revealed on the Catfished  YouTube channel, the woman ended up going $18,000 into debt sending the scammer money, thinking she was in a romantic relationship with Wallen.

According to Taste of Country, the victim, 34-year-old Desiree, says she's "always been the type to date someone with more money and prestige than her."

She told the channel's hosts Drew and Breanne, "I needed validation at this time and I think I got it through this person."
