Collin County is one of the fastest growing counties in Texas, if not the entire nation.  As such, it's about time the area gets a premiere concert venue.

The Colorado music venue and hospitality company Notes Live announced last week that a "world class," state-of-the-art $220 million, 20,000-seat concert venue will be opening in McKinney!

According to Community Impact, the amphitheater-style venue will offer a number of amenities including:

-Fully-covered seating areas
-250-plus luxury fire pit suites
-A landscaped grass area
-Traditional reserved seating
-Owner's Club suites
-Gourmet food and drinks
-5,100 parking spaces

One of the coolest features, though, is the lawn seats.  The turf was built with HydroChill technology, giving the venue control of the ground's temperature.  Ahead of an event, the lawn will be cooled to just below 70-degrees, no matter how hot it is outside!

JW Roth, founder and CEO of Notes Live, said the venue, which will be named Sunset Amphitheater, is estimated to host between 50-65 shows each year.

Sunset Amphitheater will be located northeast of US 75 and SH 121, adjacent to the Sheraton McKinney Hotel, and is scheduled to open sometime in 2026.
