The National Weather Service has canceled its Red Flag Warning which was originally supposed to last until 3 p.m. on Wednesday for parts of the Bay Area.
The warning was issued at 11 p.m. on Tuesday for portions of the East and North Bay due to dry and gusty offshore winds expected to blow across the regions.
The agency tweeted on Wednesday just before 12 p.m. that the warning was canceled, three hours before it was scheduled to end.
"Winds have subsided which allowed us the confidence to cancel our #RedFlagWarning a little early," the weather service wrote. "Be advised though: conditions will still be dry and gusty tonight around midnight, especially in the North Bay (Mountains) in Napa County. Don't be that spark!"
A Red Flag warning remains in effect in Sacramento and Eureka, both of which are slated to last until Thursday.
