SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS RADIO) – Police announced on Friday they have arrested a suspect who allegedly shot and murdered a man in Oakland earlier this week, resulting in the city's 100th homicide investigation this year.

The arrest stems from a shooting at the 1300 block of Kirkham Street just before 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Officers arrived on the scene and found a victim, identified as Louis Truehill, suffering from gunshot wounds. He died on the scene.
Authorities on Friday booked Kahlil Attiba and the Alameda County District Attorney's office charged him with murder.
No other information has been released, including a possible motive for the crime and whether the two people knew each other.
According to KTVU, Truehill was the uncle of Kentrell Killens, a direct service coordinator for Oakland's Department of Violence Prevention. Oakland Police Chief LeRonne Armstrong, who knows the Truehill's son, a city cimployee, told the outlet this was a case of a disagreement escalating to gun violence.
