The toll increases are expected to bring $120 million a year to support transportation and infrastructure projects, including updates to BART, Caltrain, Muni and San Francisco Bay Ferry service, KTVU reported.

BATA reminded residents that the state-owned bridge toll increases were approved by voters in 2018. Tolls were first raised in January of 2019 and will next be raised in 2025.

Peak-period toll discounts for motorcycles, carpools and qualifying clean air vehicles has been increased from $3 to $3.50 and will remain in effect on weekdays from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. To qualify for the discount drivers must use FasTrak.
