President Joe Biden called out supporters of the MAGA, Make America Great Again, movement on Wednesday, saying they are the "most extreme" group in recent U.S. history.
Speaking at the White House, the president went on to say that gay kids could face school segregation if Roe vs. Wade were to be overturned in the U.S. Supreme Court while speaking about the leaked SCOTUS draft decision.
"What happens if you have a state change the law saying that children who are LGBTQ can't be in classrooms with other children?" Biden said.
The leaked draft has resulted in a voice of opinion from many top-ranking U.S. officials. Among them was Biden, who said overturning the landmark abortions rights case would carry vast implications for freedoms fought for long ago.
Biden continued, questioning what else could happen if the decision goes through, aiming at the MAGA movement and former President Donald Trump.
"Is that legit under the way that the decision is written? What are the next things that are going to be attacked?" Biden asked. "Because this MAGA crowd is really the most extreme political organization that's existed in American history — in recent American history."
Biden continued saying that privacy rights could be under attack, specifically mentioning state restrictions on contraceptives linked to the 1965 Griswold vs. Connecticut case.
White House press secretary Jen Psaki restated this sentiment during a press briefing on Wednesday afternoon.
"You will see him call out more places where he feels there are extreme policies and extreme comments and extreme positions that are unfortunately overtaking far too much of the [Republican] Party," Psaki said to reporters.
Psaki was then pressed by Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy for Biden's comments on LGBTQ segregation. The press secretary said he was referring to the law passed in Florida, being called the "Don't say gay" bill.
"We've seen extreme laws that target LGBTQ families, their kids across the country, and I think what he's saying is we don't know what they're capable of given what they've already done to date," Psaki said.
But that answer wasn't what Doocy was looking for, asking the follow-up, "Which state is trying to segregate LGBTQ children in the classroom?"
"I think we've seen laws that are incredibly discriminatory," Psaki replied. "That's what the president's referring to, and the fact that he doesn't know what additional steps could be taken by extreme wings of the party that would rather divide rather than work on issues that the American people actually are focused on actually impacting them."
As for what the former president thought about Biden’s comments on his supporters, Trump took shots at him while responding during an interview with KDKA Radio.
"What about ANTIFA?" Trump asked. "What about all these other people that are so horrible that we have that nobody does anything to them? It's a disgrace. He's only saying what they tell him to say."
