The Bay Area is once again being blessed by rainfall this week.

A weak storm will be moving through the Bay Area, likely producing less than a tenth of an inch of rain in most areas Wednesday night, according to National Weather Service meteorologist Roger Gass.

The main event, is an atmospheric river arriving over the North Bay and Northern California late Saturday night.

"We're still several days out so the details are a little bit out of focus at this point," said Gass.

But it’s likely that most major urban areas can expect anywhere from one to three inches of rainfall. Some places, like San Jose, may see less than that, while on the coast people can expect as much to five inches of rain.

The rain is likely to continue through until Monday. "Confidence is really high for Sunday and Monday being wet," said Gass. "It may leak into Tuesday across some portions of Northern and Central California."

As of right now, meteorologists aren’t predicting any high winds, but "it’s something we’re going to keep a close eye on," he said. "As with any atmospheric river, we typically see some pretty breezy and gusty winds."
