Outbreak of Legionella bacteria discovered in water at Santa Clara Kaiser

Kaiser Permanente is taking emergency precautions today after a routine water test turned up a troubling discovery at its hospital in Santa Clara. A brush fire inside Santa Teresa County Park in South San Jose was stopped pretty quickly last night, but a power outage caused by the fire stretched on for hours. San Francisco is taking another step to shore up its emergency response system in the event of a natural disaster.
