PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Allegheny County Health Department has announced 17 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday for a total of 1,658.
1,569 of the cases are confirmed with 89 probable.
The department has also confirmed an additional death, the first in three days in the county.
A total of 144 people have died as a result of coronavirus in Allegheny County. 133 of those deaths are confirmed with 11 probable.
All deaths are between the ages of 42-104 with 84 being the median age.
112 of those who have died have occurred in long-term care facilities.
According to the PA Department of health, 408 residents and 113 staff members at 37 long-term care facilities have tested positive for COVID-19
The ages of those who have died range from 42-103 with 84 being the median age.
To date, there have been 304 hospitalizations, past or present, 10 more compared to Monday.

According to data from the PA Department of Health, 22,819 people have tested negative for coronavirus.
