200 New Cases Of COVID-19 Brings Allegheny Co. Closer To 5,000

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) The Allegheny County Health Department has reported an additional 200 cases of COVID-19 bringing the total to 4,962.

Eight new hospitalizations raise the total past or present cases in need of hospital care to 464.


The new cases range from 2 months to 95 years and a median age of 35.

Of the 4,962 cases, about 46% of them come from the age range 20-39.

The Health Department is urging that people continue to wear masks, wash hands, and maintain a social distance in an attempt to decrease the number of cases seen within the county.

No new deaths were reported; the number stays at 198.
