30 New Cases Of Coronavirus In Allegheny County

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - There are 30 new cases of coronavirus in Allegheny County Wednesday morning for a total of 88.

Of those cases, 13 are hospitalized.


The number of those deceased from the virus remains at two.

The county has also broken down the number of cases by age range and sex

  • 0-4: 1 case
  • 5-12: 1 case
  • 13-18: 2 cases
  • 19-24: 15 cases
  • 25-49: 30 cases
  • 50-64: 25 cases
  • 65+: 14 cases

Of the 88 total cases, 55 percent are female and 45 percent are male.

The Allegheny County Health department says more information will be provided in the coming days.

"The department continues to conduct contract tracing with those who have tested positive, making recommendations for self-quarantine as appropriate. Residents are encouraged to comply with the Governor's stay-at-home order in order to slow the spread of the virus in our community," the county said in a release.
