8 Pittsburgh Businesses Score 100 For LGBTQ-Inclusiveness

PITTSBURGH (Newsrdio 1020 KDKA) - Eight Pittsburgh-based companies make a list of 37 Pennsylvania firms scoring 100 for LGBTQ-inclusive workplace policies.

The Washington-based Human Rights Campaign Foundation index says that Buchanon Ingersoll and Rooney, Community Care Behavioral Health, Highmark, K and L Gates, PNC, Reed Smith, US Steel and UPMC Health Plan all scored 100.

Study author Beck Bailey says they looked at internal policies,

“Equitable benefits such as domestic partner benefits and transgender inclusive healthcare coverage, “said Bailey.

The study also looked at company culture and policies toward the outside world.
