HARRISBURG, Pa (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Governor Tom Wolf announced that additional COVID-19 testings sites will open in areas of Pennsylvania where access to testing is limited.
“We continue to add testing sites in locations that are convenient for Pennsylvanians and increase the state’s testing capabilities,” Gov. Wolf said. “We do not want any Pennsylvanian in need of a test to have difficulty finding a location close to home for a free test.”
“After testing, you are required to return home and self-isolate,” Dr. Levine said. “If symptoms develop or worsen while you are waiting for your test results, talk to your doctor. If you experience a medical emergency, please seek immediate care.”
The testing is being done in partnership with Quest diagnostics. To be tested, you must be pre-registered and must meet certain criteria for testing. Those registered, if deemed eligible for testing, will be notified of a testing localtion within a 50-mile radius as well as available appointment times. To register, click here.
Pennsylvania has reported 78,798 positive cases of COVID-19 and 6,215 confirmed deaths as of 12:00 am on June 14.
