HARRISBURG (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) – Allegheny County is confirming one additional COVID-19 death and 21 new cases on Wednesday.
The total number of cases in Allegheny County has now reached 2,055.
173 people have now died as a result of coronavirus.
All deaths are in people ranging in age from 42-103 with 84 being the median age of those who have died.

The PA Department of Health reports that 36,701 people have tested negative for coronavirus.
Two additional hospitalizations are being reported bring the total past and present to 354.
While the county has not released numbers regarding a recovery rate, the state of Pennsylvania is reporting that 70% of cases have recovered.
Individuals who have recovered is determined using a calculation, similar to what is being done by several other states. If a case has not been reported as a death, and it is more than 30 days past the date of their first positive test (or onset of symptoms) then an individual is considered recovered.
In Pennsylvania, a total of 75,119 confirmed cases of COVID-19 are being confirmed with 2,194 probable. 6,113 people in PA have died from coronavirus.
466,964 people across the commonwealth have tested negative.
