Arrest Made In Mt. Washington Homicide

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - U.S. Marshals found and arrested the suspect who was believed to be responsible for the Mt. Washington homicide of Edgard Fumbula on June 11.

Marshals arrested 24-year-old Damian Schott in Florida on Wednesday, August 26.

Schott was wanted on criminal homicide, aggravated assault, and gun charges.

Originally at the scene, Pittsburgh Bureau of Police responded to a shotspotting call on the 20 block of Bailey Avenue at around 12:10 p.m. on June 11.

On sight, the Zone 3 officers found a male with multiple gunshot wounds.

Law enforcement officials performed first aid until EMS arrived, and the victim was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

Fumbula was later pronounced dead after arriving at the hospital.
