PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) Authorities are in search of a 14-year-old girl in the Monongahela River near the WD Mansfield Memorial Bridge between Dravosburg and McKeesport.
The girl has not been identified, but was finshing with her family when she drifted too far into the water, her family was unsuccessful in rescuing her before calling authorities.
A portion of Route 837 is currently blocked off as the search is ongoing.
The search began around 5:50 p.m. Friday around route 837 in West Mifflin.
As of Saturday morning there still has been no sign of the child, crew have moved their focus to the river between Glassport and West Mifflin.
That area is closed to recreational boaters.
