PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A bald eagle that was found shot Friday in Derry Township has died.
A Game Warden tells the Trib the older male bird had to be euthanized because of injuries to its skull.
It was found on the West Penn Trail after being shot with a small caliber rifle.
A GoFundMe page for the bird’s care raised about $1,400 dollars.
That money will now go to the facility that cared for the bird, with the rest serving as a reward for information on the incident.
