Beaver Co. Ice Rink Refrozen In Case Of Large Number Of Coronavirus Deaths

BEAVER, Pa. (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A Beaver County ice rink has been re-frozen in case more room is needed for bodies during the coronavirus pandemic.

The contingency morgue at Bradys Run Ice Arena is part of the country’s decades old mass fatality plan.

The Heritage Valley morgue and a refrigerated truck are also on standby.

So far, next of kin have claimed the remains of all 14 COVID-19 patented that have died.

Eleven of those patients were residents at Brighton Rehab and Wellness Center.

The Center has ceased testing and is now assuming everyone has COVID-19.
