PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Pennsylvania House is expected to take up a bill on Tuesday that aims to reopen some businesses during the coronavirus pandemic shutdown.
Speaker of the House Mike Turzai’s bill would classify more businesses as essential, allowing them to reopen following CDC guidelines.
He tells Larry and Keven on KDKA Radio the state continues to combat the pandemic.
“But the reality is we do think there has to be balance and there has to be a plan for recovery that provides hope.”
Turzai believes that many constructions projects should re-start, along with remote car sales.
Governor Tom Wolf closed all non-life sustaining businesses on March 19 to slow the spread of COVID-19.
