PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Emergency vehicles are on the scene in Shaler Township, near the Hampton line after a car went into a creek landing on its roof.

At About 1:50 p.m. Thursday afternoon, police and EMS responded to an accident at Elfinwild near Route 8.

Art Tulliver at Manno's Automotive Center, across the street from where it happened, tells KDKA Radio, "The car came down off of Elfinwild up and over the guardrail and into the creek."

Tulliver said he could see Elfinwild Fire Department going into the creek with Jaws of Life.

Police say the car has been pulled out of the creek. It is unknown how many people were rescued from the car and if there are any injuries.

Many emergency vehicles were still on the scene causing traffic issues.
