PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A South Park man has pleaded guilty to stealing more than a million dollars from an Upper Saint Clair church.

50-year-old David Reiter transferred funds from the Westminster Presbyterian Church to his personal bank account for over a decade while serving as the church administrator, and created fake audit reports to hide the theft.

Reiter was caught when he tried to pose as an employee of the church's auditing firm using a cell phone he purchased with church money. Reiter hasn't been sentenced yet but is ordered to pay $1.2 million in restitution to Westminster Presbyterian.

His wife Connie faces charges of receiving stolen property.
