PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The coronavirus pandemic has changed almost all aspects of daily life.
We can no longer go to a sporting event or even sit down with a large group, and that includes churches.
But thanks to technology, many can still practice their faith from the safety of their home.
Fr. Nick Vaskov and other priests in the Pittsburgh Catholic Diocese are holding multiple services daily for those looking to practice their faith.
Streams can be found on Facebook and on Vimeo during the following times:
Daily: 8 p.m. Adoration & Sung Night Prayer
Sunday: 11 a.m. Holy Rosary
11:30 a.m. Holy Mass
3 p.m. Stations of the Cross
Monday- Saturday: 8:30 a.m. Holy Mass
12 p.m. Holy Rosary
Tuesday: 9 a.m. 13 Tuesdays Devotion to St. Anthony
7:30 p.m. 13 Tuesdays Devotions to St. Anthony
Friday: 7 p.m. Stations of the Cross
“We began live-streaming last Monday, March 16,” Fr. Vaskov tells KDKA Radio. “We needed to find a way to stay connected with our people since they couldn’t physically come to Church and believed this was the best way to do so. While it doesn’t replace gathering together as a community of believers, live-streaming gives people a sense of connection and, as many people have told me, a sense of comfort and peace in a trying time. It helps to know that we are not alone as we face the trials in our lives.
