PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Allegheny County's COVID Response team, checking to make sure restaurants are following proper mitigation efforts have visited about 350 bars, restaurants, convenience stores, ice cream shops grocery stores that offer dining in the past week,
Allegheny County Health Director Dr. Debra Bogen said during the county's weekly coronavirus update, 87 percent of those places visited received an all satisfactory report, while 13 percent had at least one violation to address and that most places only had one violation.
Bogen says the most common violation is staff not properly wearing a mask followed by capacity of dine-in services being over 25 percent.
Those places that had a violation will be visited again if an effort to give them an all satisfactory report

Bogen also gave an update on the work of case investigators. She says while COVID-19 case investigators a large number of those contacted say they visited a restaurant or bar, other activities are on the rise.
Private parties, more cases of those attending weddings, funerals, church services, gyms or other fitness centers.
"At wedding, funerals or church services avoid congregating inside or outside the building and try not to hug or shake hands with others but if you do use your hand sanitizer before and after," said Bogen.
Bogen also urges gyms to conduct activities when possible and that is not possible to wear a tight-fitting mask over both your mouth and nose indoors.
There has been a decrease in those infected saying they were at a bar or restaurant but is still the most common event people report.
