PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - On Monday a coalition of groups railed outside the Board of Education offices in Oakland calling for the removal of the 20 officers on the Pittsburgh Public School Force.

They want more resources for school counselors, nurses and mental health workers instead.

CBS News Law Enforcement and Security Analyst Paul Viollis tells Larry and Kevin on the KDKA Radio Morning Show removing police from schools would be "insane."

"Are we saying because this happened two or three weeks ago we don't have a school violence problem or are we going to get back on the air God forbid, in September when there's a school shooting and talk about why there weren't cops there?" asked Viollis.

Viollis says he's not against police reform, but he is against creating a higher risk of danger in the community.
