ALIQUIPPA, Pa. (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A key figure in the unsolved homicide of an Aliquippa teacher that happened back in 2018 is accused of killing a man in Aliquippa.

Police have charged 22-year-old Sheldon Jeter Jr. with criminal homicide after victim Tyric Pugh was found dead around 11:30 p.m. Friday night

According to Pennsylvania State Police, Aliquippa Police found 30-year-old Pugh shot dead on Kiehl Street with multiple gunshot wounds.

Jeter was charged after police, conducted an investigation that included reviewing multiple video surveillance footage and conducting several interviews.

33-year-old Rachael DelTondo was shot and killed in her parent’s driveway on Mother’s Day in 2018.

DelTondo was suspended from her teaching job after an alleged incident that occurred in 2016 leaked that claimed she was alone in a parked car with Jeter, who was 17 at the time.

Charges were never filed in that incident.

After DelTondo was found murdered, Jeter was questioned by police and has not been charged in that case.

Jeter faces a June 1 preliminary hearing.
