One of Pittsburgh’s most beloved Irish Pubs hopes to be back by St. Patrick’s Day.
Riley’s Pour House in Carnegie, destroyed by fire in November 2024, will hold an official groundbreaking ceremony on Friday at its original site, 215 East Main Street.
Owner Joe Riley tells KDKA Radio it had been a challenging two years, “that included extensive underwriting reviews and significant cost hurdles.”
“We wouldn’t be here without the support of Carnegie and the surrounding communities,” the owners said. “This groundbreaking is a symbol of resilience and a promise that the Pour House will return stronger than ever — right where it belongs.”
Riley says the new Pour House will “honor the spirit of the original pub while introducing updated features.”
Official construction will begin next week with an opening date planned for March 2027.
