PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A Giant Rubber duck will be making its home on the shore of Lake Erie this August, but it isn’t the same one that took Pittsburgh by storm in 2013.

The world’s largest inflatable rubber duck called “Mama Duck” will be a part of the Tall Ships Erie Festival taking place August 22-25 along the Great Lake.

This isn’t the first time that duck will be a part of Tall Ships Erie, it was a part of the festival back in 2016.

The floating duck weights about 11 tons and stands more than six stories tall.

The duck that came to Pittsburgh was by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman, and was the first trip his duck made to the United States.

The rubber duck coming to Erie is owned by Craig Samborki and is out of Duluth Minnesota.

The Tall Ships festival features over 10 tall ships, deck tours along with entertainment, music and activities for children. It also features various food vendors and a beer garden.
