PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) – You demanded it and Kennywood listened.

Heinz is coming back.

After the Pittsburgh amusement park started using Hunt's ketchup at the beginning of the season, fans noticed.

A Change.org petition was even started to ask the park to change back to Heinz. It has over 8,500 signatures.

Well, Kennywood likes to listen to their fans and they announced Wednesday they're bringing back the ketchup to stands across the park this weekend.

Kennywood told KDKA Radio in a statement:

Kennywood has had the honor to be in business for the past 120 years because of our guests. We value and understand Pittsburgh's pride and passion for preserving traditions, including supporting our hometown businesses. And after looking in Heinz sight at our decision, we are pleased to announce we will serve Pittsburgh's favorite ketchup at Kennywood Park, Idlewild and Sandcastle.

There was also uproar earlier this season when park-goers noticed the cheese at the Potato Patch had changed. Kennywood quickly acted to make sure the original cheese was brought back.

Kennywood will be opening "Steelers County" later this summer that features the brand new rollercoaster "The Steel Curtain".
