PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The owner of the pit bull fatally shot during an attack last week has been charged.
Pittsburgh Police cited 24-year-old Trevaugh Brown of Pittsburgh for having his dog off-leash when it attacked another dog in the North Side, then charged at a responding officer.
The officer fired his weapon at the dog, killing it.
Brown says he tried stabbing and pepper spraying his dog to stop the attack.
The other dog, a poodle, is recovering.
