National Aviary Set To Re-Open July 1

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) The National Aviary is setting up for a July 1 re-opening after being closed due to the Coronavirus.

The Aviary will be opening but with safety precautions put in place.

Adhering to the Center for Disease Control guidelines, there will be a limited number of people admitted at one time, the use of masks, timed ticketing, new sanitation practices, and encouraging cashless purchases.

The Aviary will also be working to update their daily activities to ensure a safe and memorable visit.

Members will be able to visit the Aviary starting on June 28, 29, 30 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. as part of “Member preview days.”

Members will be able to get the first look at the newly renovated Grasslands habitat.
