Fire Fighters To Give Away Free Coats For Kids On Saturday

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) -  Pittsburgh Fire Fighters Local No. 1 have partnered with Operation Warm to provide free winter coats for over 1,500 local kids on Saturday.

Operation Warm is a nonprofit organization that provides children in need with brand new coats for the winter. 

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12 at the Pittsburgh Fire Fighters Local No. 1 Hall on Flowers Avenue in Hazelwood.

Operation Warm said in a release that any child up to ten years of age, regardless of address or economic situation, is eligible to receive a free coat.
