McKees Rock Man Pleads Guilty To Federal Narcotics And Firearms Charges

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) -- A young man who used to live in McKees Rock plead guilty to federal narcotics and firearms charges.

The U.S Attorney's Office in Pittsburgh said that 21-year-old Dushawn Giffey was selling drugs when he was 18-years-old out of a house in McKees Rocks back in 2017.

Police stopped Giffey and recovered a bag of fentanyl and a loaded firearm from him.

The FBI Western District of Pennsylvania Opioid Task Force also conducted a search of his home and found larges amounts of suspected fentanyl, multiple guns and other drug paraphernalia.

Giffey will be sentenced on June 5th. He faces up a minimum of ten years in prison, potentially for life, and a fine of one-million dollars.
