PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) – A new dashboard allows the public to track CARES Act funding.

The federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act established the Coronavirus Relief Fund, which allocates federal funds to jurisdictions across the United States who have populations over 500,000.

Allegheny County’s allocation is $212,190,475.

To date, $24 million of that amount has been distributed with $59 million more committed, for a total of $83 million to be distributed by the end of August.

The money has been used to help aid vulnerable populations, medical, county operations, agency support, regional assets, and local government.

To see a breakdown of where the money has be allocated, visit the dashboard by clicking here.
