Police Make Arrest In Perry South Double Shooting

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - An arrest has been made in a double shooting that happened in Perry South on December 18th. 

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that 26-year-old Maurice Demond King of Turtle Creek was arrested on Thursday at his mother's residence in Pitcairn.

He faces charges that include homicide, aggravated assault, carrying a firearm without a license and tampering with evidence.

The shooting in Perry South happened near Kennedy and Norwood Avenues. 

Officers found two gunshot victims near a vehicle.

A man identified as 41-year-old Cedric Mack of Duquense was found inside the vehicle with a gunshot wound to the head, pronounced dead at the scene.

A female was shot in the arm was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
