Young Girl Killed In Beltzhoover Shooting

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) – A young girl was shot to death early Sunday morning in Beltzhoover.

Pittsburgh Bureau of Police said that officers responded to a shooting around 1: 30 a.m. in the 200 block of East Warrington Avenue.

When police arrived on the scene, they cleared the home for a potential shooter and found a juvenile female lying in bed with a gunshot wound to the neck.

Pittsburgh EMS declared that the juvenile was deceased.

It is being reported that the girl was only 3-years old.

Her identity has not yet been released.

No other injuries are reported at this time.

The Violent Crime Unit and the Crime Scene Unit arrived to process the scene.

Police have arrested 51-year old Marlin Pritchard in connection with the shooting and is being held at Allegheny County Jail.

Pritchard is being charged with homocide, endangering the welfare of a child, and gun charges.
