PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Allegheny County Health Department has announced for the second straight day, no additional deaths from COVID-19.

An additional 38 cases of coronavirus has been reported in Allegheny County, 30 more than Sunday, bringing the total number of confirmed and probable cases to 1,641.


That number includes 1,553 confirmed cases with 88 probable.

Of those new cases 14 are associated with long-term care facilities.

Of the 1,641 cases of COVID-19, 235 are in healthcare workers, that's 14 percent of the total number of cases in the county.

The total number of those who have died remains at 143 with the ages of those dead ranging from 42-103 with 84 being the median age.

To date, there have been 294 hospitalizations, past or present, two more compared to Sunday.

According to data from the PA Department of Health, 22,239 people have tested negative for coronavirus.
