PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Another sign that winter is right around the corner.
Allegheny County’s North and South Park ice rinks are opening Friday and will operate through Mid-March, weather conditions permitting.
In addition to open skates, the rinks will offer ice skating and hockey lessons as well as a developmental hockey league.
Allegheny County Resident Rates:

Ages 18-59

Non-residents of Allegheny County are charged a dollar more.
The rinks also have seasonal passes available and group rates for parties and other functions.
Allegheny County volunteer firefighters and EMTs are eligible to receive a free season ice skating pass. Details can be found here.

Open Stick Time – 3:00-5:00 pm
Tuesday
Public Skate – 7:30-9:00 pm
Wednesday
Open Stick Time – 8:00-9:30 pm
Thursday
Public Skate – 7:30-9:00 pm
Friday
Public Skate – 4:30-7:00 pm and 7:30-9:30 pm
Family Skate Fridays, 4:30-7:00 pm – 2 adults & up to 4 children ages 17 & under skate for $10 per family for Allegheny County residents and $13 per family for non-residents. Does not include skate rentals.
Saturday
Public Skate – 12:00 noon-4:00 pm; 4:30-7:00 pm; and 7:30-9:30 pm
Sunday
Public Skate – 12:00 noon-4:00 pm and 4:30-8:30 pm
