PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Cases of coronavirus in Western PA have appeared to begin slowing down.
The Pennsylvania Department of Health released numbers on Friday that shows 885 additional cases of COVID-19 in PA for a total of 42,050.
A total of 1,597 have died across the commonwealth.
Locally, there are now:
1,224 cases with 79 deaths in Allegheny with 14,765 negative tests387 with 46 deaths in Beaver with 1,898 negative tests170 with six deaths in Butler with 2,041 negative tests107 with two death in Washington with 1,970 negative tests377 with 19 deaths in Westmoreland with 4,188 negative tests47 with two deaths in Armstrong with 606 negative tests63 with five deaths in Lawrence with 667 negative tests65 with one death in Mercer with 664 negative tests63 with four deaths in Indiana with 598 negative tests25 with zero deaths in Greene with 393 negative tests 79 with four death in Fayette with 1,648 negative tests25 with zero deaths in Somerset with 503 negative tests
That is a total of 2,632 cases (185 more compared to Friday) and 168 dead in the area (10 more than Friday).
