HARRISBURG (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Pennsylvania’s Health Secretary has issued an order Monday morning for business locations that remain open to be cleaned properly.
Thousands of businesses remain open in Pennsylvania because they are deemed life-essential.
State Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine’s order requires any location of at least 50,000 square feet to be cleaned and disinfected regularly at hi-touch areas.
That would be grocery stores, warehouses, manufacturers, residential buildings of 50 unites or more and others.
Existing cleaning protocols must be maintained in all other areas.
The order requires sufficient staffing to do the job and adequate security to control access and maintain social distancing of at least six feet.
