PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 21020 KDKA) - Police continue to search for a missing 11-year-old who has not been seen since February 29.
Allegheny County Police say Javar Williams ran away from his McKees Rocks Home.
After an investigation, police learned that Williams is reportedly in the area of the Northview Heights housing complex in the City of Pittsburgh.
Authorities add they don't believe at this point that Williams has been abducted but is "staying with friends in that community to avoid his family and other obligations."
Williams is an 11-year-old black male, standing about 5'3" tall, weighs 14- pound.
He was last seen wearing a blue Champion windbreaker with light colored jeans and Nike Air Maxx shoes that are black, white and blue.
Anyone who sees Williams is asked to call 911.
Anyone with any information on his whereabouts is asked to call the County Police tip line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
