
PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Damage Assessment and Accountability Taskforce (DAAT) is asking for the public's help in identifying a man suspected of committing violent acts and looting during the May 30 protests in the city of Pittsburgh.
In a Facebook post, the Pittsburgh Police say the man was "observed numerous times on camera throwing concrete, rocks and debris at police, one time striking an officer, causing a concussion. He is also believed to have looted at least one business.
"The male, wearing a dark shirt and jeans and carrying a backpack is seen sitting down outside Wood Street station after taking off his mask at one point."
Photos of the man are included in the Facebook post.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the taskforce at DAAT@Pittsburghpa.gov or call (412) 323-7800 and ask for the taskforce.
Police say anyone contacting the taskforce and providing information will remain anonymous.
